I am looking for information on the marriage of John Madison WHITWORTH [b. March 6, 1875 MS] and Katrina KOOP (pos. listed as Katherine or Katy) [b. March 17, 1875 KS]. Family stories have them married on October 10, 1895 in Bell County, Texas - but was told they were unable to locate it there. John Madison WHITWORTH's parents names were Richard Perry WHITWORTH and Julia (PALMER) WHITWORTH. Katrina KOOP's parents names were Abraham KOOP and Cornelia KLIPPENSTEIN. I am looking for information on the marriage of John Osborne Smith [b. abt 1830 TN] and Tilitha Ann SEITZ [b. abt 1835 TN]. Their children: George Thomas, b. 1857; Franklin Monroe and John Andrew (twins), b. 1861; Jefferson Davis, b. 1863; Dora Eva, b. 1865; James Oscar, b. 1868; Arthur Eli, b. 1872; Marguerite Elizabeth, b. 1873; Martha Kate, b. 1876; & Walter T, b. 1878 - all in Ellis County. John O. SMITH's parents were Thomas SMITH and Margrath? (?) SMITH - both born in NC, children born in TN, & came to Ellis Co., Texas in abt. 1844 from TN. Tilitha Ann SEITZ's parents were George SEITZ and Elizabeth (?) SEITZ - both born in NC, children born in TN, & came to Henderson Co., TX abt 1844/5, then on to Kaufman Co. before the 1860 census. Any information about any of these families would be appreciated. I would love to exchange information with anyone researching or interested in any of these families. Thank you, Teresa

Need help identifying maiden name of Mrs. Georgia A. GODLEY, married to William Laton GRIFFIN in Anderson Co., TX in 1878. These are the parents of Asa G GRIFFIN born in 1880. Sibling was step-sister Winifred DAWSON (married name). She visited the GRIFFIN'S in Alice, TX in 1940, and there is no further info on Winifred, except she was living with her son in Buffalo, TX. at that time. William Laton GRIFFIN died in Alice, TX in 1925.

John R. "Jasper" ALDRIDGE b. 1805 in Chatham co, NC married about 1830 to Permelia SQUIRES of Adair, KY died in 1874 in Fannin co, TX. Their son William W. ALDRIDGE was born in Marshall co, TN, married Martha Frances SEARS and died in Red Branch, Grayson co, TX. Martha SEARS ALDRIDGE is buried in Kiowa, Coal Co., OK where her sons were coal miners. Looking for death date and place buried for James F. PARKER. He and his wife Almeda left Dallas County area in 1890, he listed in the census as having TB. He died while they were gone to look for land...I think he went somewhere south of Dallas to find better climate for his TB and died. Family would like to know when (sometime in 1891) exact date and where he is buried.

Benjamin Franklin DURHAM, b. 18 May 1824 Mercer Co, KY; d. 4 Feb. 1883 Anderson Co, TX; m. 20 June 1850 Boyle Co, Ky to Nancy HOCKER. "Nannie" was engaged to another man and on the eve of the marriage climbed out her upstairs window on a ladder "Dock" DURHAM prvided and eloped with him. They settled in Anderson Co. where "Dock" was a farmer and auctioneer. He was also Sheriff from 1858-1862. Would like to learn about descendents.

Searching for records of Alexander Jackson MC FARLANE (b 1814 TN, m Armina Sevier BOLTON 1845 AL; his son Reuben Calloway McFARLANE, b 1846 Jackson, AL (wife Sally HAMILTON, b 1851 SC) They came to Anderson Co. TX abt 1850 and descendants remain in the county. I need help finding A.J. McFARLANE'S parents: A.J.'s father was named "Root", b 1781 Russell Co VA, according to family stories, (probably Ruebe), but I haven't be able to find any information on him. I have quite a bit of data on descendants, which I am happy to share. But would love to contact "other family" of this group, as well as find "Root" and his predecessors. Albert Jackson("Fret")McFARLANE (1871-1918) was my grandfather. He married Amanda CAMPBELL (1881-1963) in 1904 in Anderson Co. Thanks lots!

I'm looking for parents/siblings/children of Albert Gallatin CAMPBELL, b 1806-8 SC, m Sarah (PIERCE?) TN. He came to TX in 1839, before Anderson Co was organized, camped where the present courthouse now stands, and raised a large family in Anderson Co. His eldest son, John CAMPBELL, was my gr-grandfather, & farmed 5-6 miles SE of Palestine until 1876. I know there were other sons named William, Jim, Alex, and Albert,(one son died in the Civil War),daughters named Elizabeth, Sarah, Isadore (m Jim WEISINGER). (Should be 11 or 12 total) I'd appreciate any information on this family and those "who went before". Thanks!
