Charles L. Dawson born c1824 VA died 1875/6 Tyler, TX, married Sarah S. Haller "Sallie" born 1826 Wythe Co., VA, died 1907 buried Oakwood Cem., Tyler, TX, unmarked. They were enumarated on the 1850 census of Carroll Co., VA, and the 1860 census of Sevier Co., AR. They moved to Tyler in the late 1860s, and in 1870 they bought over 100 acres just southeast of Tyler. Charles Pinkney Dawson "Pink" born c1846 VA died 1888 Waco, TX, buried First Street Cemetery, Waco, TX, married 1870 Smith Co., TX, Cynthia Melvina Walters "Vina" born c1846 TX died 1870s. Her parents: Charles M. & Mary (Medford) Walters. He moved to McLennan Co., TX, in the 1880s. They are enumerated in the Smith County Federal Census Images - 1870 Starrville Beat, p. 78; 1880 ED 94 p. 32
2. Ellen L. Dawson born c1850 VA died 1886 married 1875 Smith Co., TX, John Phillips born c1830 England. He was a stonecutter. They moved to Austin, TX, and are enumerated in the 1880 census of Travis Co., TX.
3. Mary Margaret Dawson "Mollie" born 1851 VA died 1933 Tyler, TX, buried Oakwood Cem., Tyler, TX, unmarked, married c1877 Camp Co., TX, W. H. Allen born 1841 IL died c1902.
