|George ADAMS, born, 1822, Scotland; died 1907, Tyler, TX, married Sarah ___ born 1828, Alabama; died 1883; both buried Oakwood Cemetery, Tyler, TX. In 1834 he immigrated to the United States. He came to Tyler from North Carolina in the late 1840s was a veteran of the Mexican War. He was in the blacksmith business, first with William Stringfellow, later with his brother James Adams.
