John O. BULLARD, born Nov. 19, 1766, NC; died Nov 14, 1839, Montgomery, AL; married Judith SNEED, born ca 1778, NC; died 13 June 1847, Montgomery, AL. On a monument 3 miles south of Wetumpka, AL. is a statement "John Bullard, a native of NC came to this county in 1836 and entered this property in 1820".

Josiah Hood BULLARD, the son of John O. BULLAFRD and Judith SNEED, was born circa 1810 in Tennessee. He was married to Ann B. MOSELEY on 6 January 1840 in Montgomery County, AL, by L. P. BUTLER, Justice of the Peace.
Ann B. Moseley was born in Montgomery Co. AL. She was was the widow of Jesse H. MOSLEY who died in circa 1838. There were two children by this marriage: Acenith Adalide Moseley and Jesse H. Moseley Jr.

Family History says Josiah H. died a few weeks before J. Henry was born. Ann B. is said to have been in a buggy accident when J. Henry was a few months old, she made a will dated 18th April 1848, she was listed as deceased when it was filed 27 April 1848.
J. Henry Bullard was raised by his aunt and her husband Eliza C. and Lovick Pierce Bullard.
John Henry Bullard
John Henry BULLARD, the son of Josiah Hood BULLARD and Ann B. MOSLEY, was born 26 August 1846 in Montgomery Co. AL. His father died in He enlisted in Confederate Army at age 16 and served with Terry's Texas Rangers.
He married first Emma Eugene ERWIN on 30 June 1866 in Tyler, TX. The daughter of Thomas B. ERWIN and Elizabeth S. OWENS, she was born 15 May in Chamber County, AL.
John Henry Bullard was a farmer and merchant---Methodist---moved from AL to Smith County, TX with his guardian Lovick Pierce Butler in 1861.

Emma died 25 April 1884 in Bullard, Smith County, TX. She is buried in the Oakwood Cemetery Tyler, TX.
On 25 January 1900 John Henry married Lula LAIRD.
He died 26 August 1907 in Hiram, Kaufman County, TX to which he had recently moved from Bullard, TX-a town of which he was the founder in 1883. Bullard was named Etna, TX prior to that.
John Lovic BULLARD, Sr., the son of John Henry BULLARD and Emma Eugenia ERWIN, was born 31 July, Etna Beat, Texas. He married Lenora URBAN, daughter of William Buchanan URBAN and Dixie Ann OLIPHANT on 20 August 1892 in Bullard TX. Lenora was born 31 July 1878 in Belton, TX.
They had a 2 story white house in Bullard that was elegant in its day. He was engaged in railroad and logging.
John Lovic died 1 October 1896, Etna Beat, TX and is buried in the Bullard Cemetery, Smith County, TX.
Child of this marriage:
John Lovic Jr.was a soft spoken sensitive sentimental man. He was an accomplished musician on the piano, organ and several stringed instruments. He enjoyed hunting, writing, traveling and giving of himself and his resources. His family was most important to him. He was 5'10" and weighed 70 lbs. Wavy brown/black hair and dark brown eyes. He was the Mayor of Kerrville, TX and wrote several educational books.
Lenora Urban Bullard wrote poetry, stories and was interested in genealogy. After John Lovic died she married Charles Robert TINDEL of Bullard, the son of John A. and Josephine Augier TINDEL, on the 25th of December 1897. They were quite active in the Methodist Church and hosted many events for the church and the community. Mr. Tindel served as a steward in the church and Mrs. Tindel taught a Sunday School Class and was active in the Ladies Missionary Society.
Charles was engaged in the mercantile business, involed in farming and shipping of tomatoes
Leonora Urban had firey temper and very impatient also loving and kind. Written by her granddaughter Frances Bullard Radeleff.
Charles Robert Tindell and Lenora Urban were parents of these children:
Charles died 6 July 1941 and Lenora died 13 October 1937 in Bullard. They are both buried in the Bullard Cemetery, Smith County, TX.
