ETGS regularity sends email to its current members such as meeting announcements, upcoming event descriptions, society business like election information, membership renewal reminders and relevant news about other genealogical societies. ETGS occasionally sends promotional email about its genealogical meetings and events to former members. Said communications can be selectively or completely disabled. Access to Your Personal Information
You have the right to view, amend, or delete the membership information that we hold about you. If you’ve misplaced your login name or password, use the question mark buttons ( ? ) on the login screen to be emailed new ones.

Membership Directory
ETGS displays only to members an online membership directory that, by default, lists your name and some contact information. If you wish to not display some information or to not be listed, email us at Webmaster@etgs.org.

Your Right of Erasure, or to be Forgotten
If you are an ETGS member and do not renew your membership. your membership record is archived and thus available to be reactivated in the event you later decide to rejoin. To request deletion of your membership record, contact Webmaster@etgs.org using the email address we hold for you or otherwise proving your identity.

Security

Credit card data is collected and retained by the 3rd party payment service PayPal, Inc. ETGS volunteers cannot view your complete credit or debit card information. We take precautions to protect the personal information that we collect (i.e., contact details like address, phone, email). When you submit such information, it is protected both online and offline by encryption and secure transmissions. The computer servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment by our vendor EasyNetSites, Inc.

 

Children's Privacy
 
The following additional terms, conditions, and notices apply to use of the Website by children under the age of 13 years whenever ETGS becomes aware that a user is in that age range.
 
Users under 13 years of age may not submit or post information on the Website without the consent of the user’s parent or legal guardian.
